I thought it was about time I wrote again, I am fairly well with regard to my leukaemia, my cell count at the last blood test was the best its been in seven years, unfortunately I have a problem with my back, I am having to take painkillers to enable me to be able to do anything. The down side is as always there are side effects, nausea and tiredness so more pills, I've had X rays and MRI scan so we will see what happens. I have been warned that I could have problems with my back as I get older because of my shape.

I have always been appalled by people who get an appointment in the Royal United Hospital in Bath and then fail to show up, more than 280,000 people attend the hospital as outpatients each year, up to 500 appointments are lost each week when patients fail to keep there appointments, These appointments are wasted,when you think of the wait for appointments with most consultants, this is 500 appointments that should not be wasted, If I fail to keep and appointment with my dentist he would charge me, if this policy was adopted by hospitals it might reduce the numbers significantly.
