I have got to have a moan about airports, Jane says that the minute I walk into an airport I become a different person, I think its because I object to being treated like cattle, flying is not cheap yet we are herded through airports no better than cattle going to market, when has there been a sixty year old Wessex man who as commited an act of terrorism, or a sixty year old woman. I may be a minority but it seems to me that they should be using there resourses better, perhaps a bit of civility might help. I also hate having to stand in lines, it reminds me of school, my time is precious, standing in lines in airports is not something I will do again.

We saw Lily Allen at Glasto, enjoyed her until she opened her mouth to talk, it made me realise how bad swearing sounds so now I do not swear.
I have to add one of the low parts of my summer was that a very good friend of mine was diagnosed with a cancer, he has been operated on today and we are awaiting the result. It is hard seeing someone you feel close to suffering and unable to do anything constructive for them. I will keep you informed.

I was asked the question, what was the highlight of my summer early this week? At the time of being asked with out much thought I said it was Neil Young at Glastonbury. But with thought it was numerous things, Neil Young was up there but there was other things as well.
I think very close was being told that my cell count was better than it had been since I was diagnosed, the consultant says what ever you are doing keep doing it. this then added another item to the list, we had just returned from Spain after spending a fortnight with friends in a good friend and Framptons MD villa, thanks Ian.
Then I was invited to take part in a exhibition in the Royal United Hospital, I am one of six artists, they are what I term proper artists, I was asked why I do'nt consider myself to be a proper
artist, well these people paint or whatever to make a living and have to be serious about it, I cant be serious, I paint for me first, I'm lucky that what I like seems to be popular with a lot of people, whats important to me is that some wants one of my images to hang on there wall.

This is one of my latest images, its called Rain.
I am quite well at the moment, the last visit to the Oncology unit in the RUH was very good. My cell count is the best its been since I was diagnosed, we think it had something to do with 7 courses of Cemotherapy and a fortnight in Spain, thanks Ian.
I cannot believe how quick time goes, I have been meaning to write for months and have not, for those of you who read this regularly I am sorry, I will write weekly from now.
