It has been quite a week, recorded an interview for Somer FM yesterday. It should be broadcast Wednesday at 2.
I spent a bit of time in Rook lane this week, have met some amazing people with amazing stories to tell, there are some strong caring lovely people out there, some have had some really tough times but have come through it, I have met some real hero's this week.

The exibition is called Life, it is the bee in my bonnet, I must sound like I'm preaching some times, I make no apology for this. As each day passes I see more to convince me that it is the greatest thing there is.
What has surprised me is the amount of people who agree with me, I believe that something like 99.9% of people agree with me, so who are the .1 %, I have a rough idea.
I read an interesting article last week, this guy proposed that when politicians make election promises they are subjuct to law and must be kept, an interesting concept.

Well I did it, I did not think I would get there but my exhibition opened in Rook lane last week and is on until the 25th April, Rook lane Arts is a stunning building, I have an exhibition that I am pleased with.
I did an interview on BBC Somerset Sound which went well, lovely lady which always helps.
Below is a sample of some of my pictures that are in Rook Lane, if you get a chance go and look, as there are some amazing pieces of art from other artists, some one said a bit of everything.

Have over done it, not going to paint for a while, must try to get back to my routine that has worked for me in the past, I have a course of chemo sat waiting to use, I need to get a little fitter.

Tapestry

This is from the song by Carole King, the words that inspired me were, “My life has been a Tapestry of rich and varied hues”. I can relate these words to my life. I have always loved colour and believe our lives are rich in colour, unfortunately we miss it, so my mission is to put more colour into peoples lives.

My Love      This is something that has surprised me, prior to being diagnosed I did not think about the love I have, I now notice the love that I’m given, it is truly amazing to receive the love I get. It would be nice to think that I have always received it and it’s only my perception of it that has changed.

Life

This is my interpretation of how I see life, the colours are all significant in our lives. I have painted a small image on a large canvas on purpose, it is to portray how insignificant life is to a minority of people, I have realised that the majority of people look on life as being precious, as do I, there is a small minority who look on it as being cheap.

Perhaps its time the silent majority were heard.

Black and White

I  see most of life in colour, there is one area of my life that I don’t, I believe that there is a lot of black and white in life, Black and White to me represent Right and Wrong. There is no grey in my life its either right or wrong, I because of this have had lessons in political correctness, they only enforced my belief in Right and Wrong/ Black and White

Red

This is the type of painting that I liked to be remembered for. I have a passion for red, I use more red paint than any other colour. Red to me signifies everything good there is about life, Red makes me feel good.

Tears of a Clown

Most of us will of heard this song by Smokey Robinson, the words are quite poignant, but what really inspired me was the title, The tears of a clown are a sad concept, I do feel quite emotive when I hear this song, especially when Debbie sings it.
